Cornerstone's founding pastor is Craig Selness. Craig was the assistant pastor of Willow Glen Baptist Church in San Jose from 1979 until 1984, at which time he went to law school and began a career as an employment lawyer.
Craig worked as both a lawyer and a pastor for the first five years of Cornerstone's existence, and was finally able to leave the practice of law to become Cornerstone's full-time senior pastor in December of 1997.
Craig received his B.A. from the University of Minnesota in 1976, his Master of Divinity degree from Bethel Theological Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1979, his M.A. in pastoral counseling from Santa Clara University in 1982, and his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley in 1985.
Craig is also the author of two books: "There's More To Life!" and "When Your Mountain Won't Move."
Craig and his wife Brenda were married in 1980, and have three children -- Stephanie, Ryan and Kelsey.
