Jesus: The Most Interesting Man In The World

For a few years we've seen ads on TV starring the so-called "most interesting man in the world." How interesting is he? Here are a few of the claims: "His personality is so magnetic he's unable to carry credit cards." "He is the life of parties he never attended." "His charm is so contagious, vaccines were created for it." "Sharks have a week dedicated to him ... he is the most interesting man in the world."

But the truth is that no one comes close to being as interesting, as unique or as significant as Jesus. According to the Gospel of John, Jesus was "with God in the beginning," and it was "through him that all things were made" – that's quite an interesting man. In the commercial the "most interesting man in the world" tells us to "Stay thirsty, my friend" – Jesus says, "Whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst." (John 4:14) He is "the bread of life," the "light of the world" and the "resurrection and the life." His words were interesting, and his miracles far more than interesting.

And what he wants to do for us and in us is more than interesting. He wants to satisfy our hunger, quench our thirst, deliver us from our sin and give us eternal life. Join us at Cornerstone as we take a trip through the Gospel of John with the most interesting man in the world, and discover the most interesting changes Jesus can make in you!
