All In: Following Jesus For All You're Worth

Living Out the 5 G's of the True Disciple

At Cornerstone our goal is to "help genuine doubters become true disciples." We all know what a "genuine doubter" looks like, because we all are or have been spiritual doubters. But what does a "true disciple" look like? We know from reading the Gospels that Jesus has called us not just to be believers but disciples, but how do we know when we've become one? And why would I want to be a true disciple?

We believe that one helpful way to define true discipleship is with what we call at Cornerstone the "5 G's" - grace, group, growth, gifts and guide. A true disciple has experienced God's grace, is committed to a group, practices the daily disciplines of spiritual growth, is using her/his gifts to serve, and is a guide to others as they pursue their own spiritual journey. Our goal this fall is to learn how to live as a disciple on purpose, how to intentionally live out the 5 G's of the true disciple so that we can experience the life of meaning and satisfaction Jesus promises to his followers. We hope you will join us on the journey. Get ready to grow - you and your world will never be the same!
